Karate South Africa hosted two National Championships; 27TH 28TH February, Gauteng 20th 21st March Durban. Where all 8 provinces were represented to be the ultimate Champion of Champs.
This also served as a ranking system for future International Championships this year. In November last year athletes had to take part to qualify for the JHB District. Those selected in JHB again had to qualify this year in February to represent Gauteng province. Finally, the Top EIGHT Athletes in Gauteng (consisting of the five Districts) took part in the Nationals.
In summary between the two National Championships 4Ways Dojo once again did extremely well by bringing back 31 Medals.

Again I cannot express more than enough what an incredible start this is to the year for 4Ways Dojo if you consider the environment that our athletes had to compete in.
Also, I would like to extend a very big thank you to Gauteng Chief Referee, Sensei Roberta Biagioni for representing 4Ways Dojo who officiated so selflessly and tirelessly at the KSA Nationals. To the Gauteng Team manager and a parent of 4Ways Dojo Jacqui Baynes for also given up her time to serve our athletes. It was a hectic two days doing a sterling job.. Well, done to Brenden Tsita for successfully passing his National Kata and Kumite referee exam. Thank you to Nkwe Badiroang for her help as Head table official. To the two Gauteng Referees from 4Ways Dojo Justin and Alessandro a BIG thank you for supporting our dojo.
