Dear Students
On Saturday 18th June 2022, JHB Karate Federationhosted a JHB Development Championship at the MARLBORO COMMUNITY CENTRE, Sandton. Affiliated dojos from the JHB District had entered just over 120 students from all styles of karate such as; Goju Ryu, Shotokan, and Shoto Ryu from ages 5 years to over 35 years.
The development championship was aimed at students that had not received District, Gauteng or National colours. This would help them get game time, experience and most importantly to notice our future talents which can be selected into our JKF squad system to make our District stronger.
The tournament was well run and organised with more than enough Nationally qualified referees to help on the day.
Congratulations to the referees and all the table officials that gave up their time for our students, for a job well done!
4Ways Dojo entered 83 students and most of them managed to clinch medals, but most importantly they enjoyed themselves tremendously.
